Name Meaning: Both mitarashi and anko are ingredients in dango, Anko's favourite food.

Special Abilities: Anko knows several kinjutsu from her tutelege under Orochimaru. She also possesses the cursed seal of heaven, though she has never acheived the second stage of the seal.

Hobby: Tea ceremonies, blowing things up, annoying Ibiki.
Romantic Status: Single, as far as anyone knows, though she denies the rumors of a relationship between her and Morino Ibiki (B/c ItaAnko is love! <3))

Anko is one of the Jounin of Konohagakure, and in addition to serving in that capacity, she also serves as an examiner for the Chuunin exams. She is known both for her loud, brash, and oftentimes unrestrained personality as well as for her penchant for causing explosions wherever she goes. Much of Anko's background is classified by the ANBU division, but it is known that during her academy days, she was a student of Orochimaru. It is during this time that she received his cursed seal, perhaps being the first person to be branded with it. She was abaondoned by Orochimaru after refusing to take part in his human experimentation and turning from his teachings. He left her behind, marking her as a weak failure who was unworthy of the gift he had bestowed upon her. Anko's life after this is mostly classified, due to the observational restrictions that were placed upon her after Orochimaru's defection. It is known that she rose through the ranks to attain the status of Tokubetsu Jounin and Examiner, and it is speculated that she is, or at one point was, numbered among the Konoha ANBU. Though it isn't in her official designation, she also assists Morino Ibiki in the management and control of the ANBU. Further speculation, fueled by rumors within the ANBU ranks, alludes to a deeper relationship between the two of them, she is often seen tagging along after the gruff sadist, poking fun at him in one way or another. Anko tends to joke about it, but neither she nor Ibiki have ever given any outward signs that they are anything other then comrades.
